I’ve started out as freelance web designer 13 years ago. In 2010, during my studies of computer science in Aachen, I founded a small agency with a friend and we tried a printed marketing product – with which we failed miserably. After that we continued to focus on the stuff we know best, web development, both in creating our own SaaS product as well as consultants to other companies in the area. Since last year I’m also a lecturer as the Fresenius University in Cologne. There I teach the course “Organization Management”, which focuses on organizational structures and project management. This topic became more and more a passion for me, especially everything around “agile”. In the early beginning of my career, while working solo, I focused on my productivity, but more and more the realisation kicked in, that software development is one nasty team sport. One in which everything may change while playing – including the rules by which we play. That’s the reason I want to help team to become better at what they do.
